Description

Dudleya brittonii is a succulent with a large open rosette of waxy, chalk-like leaves. This plant will grow less than 1' tall but spread 12"-18". 2' tall vertical stalks appear in late spring to early summer, with yellow flowers on top. This succulent does well in coastal areas and needs no summer irrigation. In warmer inland areas, this plant does best with afternoon shade and occasional irrigation during the summer, being careful to water UNDER the leaves. This is a great plant for rock and container gardens or small nooks or chinks in a wall.
