Description

Mexican Tulip Poppy bears a great resemblance to California Poppy. It is an a perennial although short lived. It often reseeds itself although not with the same vigor as California Poppy. So for that reason it is less invasive in a home garden. In the right conditions it grows to 2 feet tall with blue-green foliage. It has bright golden flowers in mid-summer into fall. It is drought tolerant. Cut the plants back to the ground in winter for strong new growth and flowers in the next season.
